С 2006 года Евгений Платов, как хореограф, ставит произвольные танцы молодой американской танцевальной паре, Danielle and Alexander Gamelin (близнецы), основными тренерами которых являются Александр Эсман и Марина Кульбицкая.
Danielle and Alexander Gamelin в трёхлетнем возрасте вместе с родителями смотрели по телевизору как Евгений Платов в паре с Оксаной Грищук выиграли золотую медаль чемпионата мира в Эдмонтоне (Канада) в 1996 году. Дети, держась за руки, подражали Грищук и Платову и кричали, что хотят быть фигуристами. Их мечта сбылась, и тренироваться они пришли к своему кумиру с детства.

With the close of the 2010 Competition Season, the dance team and their parents knew that difficult decisions had to be made. The compelling decision had been made in many ways and at many times before—a decision to support the dream that had driven the twins since they first felt the glide of a skate across the ice. In June 2010, the Gamelin family relocated to Newark, Delaware for Danielle and Alexander to train at the University of Delaware's High Performance Figure Skating Center under the coaching of Christie Moxley-Hutson, Karen Ludington, and Alexandr Kirsanov. An hour away, Evgeny Platov continues as the team's choreographer.
